Doing Good to Parents and Honouring them after the Worship of Allah ‎ﷻ

1. His saying the Exalted :

And your Lord ‎ﷻ has decreed that you worship none but Him. and that you be dutiful to your parents.

2. And His saying the Exalted :

Worship Allah and join none with Him in worship and do good to parents.

3. And His saying the Exalted :

And (remember) when We took a covenant from the Children of Israel, (saying) worship none but Allah (alone) and be dutiful and good to parents.

4. And His saying the Exalted :

Say, Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited you from : Join not anything in worship with Him, be good and dutiful to your parents.

5. And the Hadeeth which is narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas’ood may Allah be pleased with him, who said, I asked the Messenger of Allah ‎ﷺ

“ Which action is loved to Allah? he said : “Prayer on its time,” so I said : What next? he said : “honouring parents,” so I said : what next? He said : “al-Jihad in the way of Allah.”
